My chipset (Intel810e)supports upto Ata66. I bought a new hard drive ata133 and a pci ata controller card however,I didn't notice that the pci card is also a RAID card. Can I use only one hard drive on this card? Will the performance be Affected? Will this work as a regular ata controller? I only want to use 1 hard drive in my system.
Thanks

You should be able to use the drive. Raid controllers do not 'have' to be used as raid.
