Aspi layer and nero

I installed the win98 drivers for an old HP scanjet 5p I had but it didn't work. I removed all the components manually as instructed from a Web site. I then tried my nero software and got "can't find winaspi.dll" error. I have solved this before by using aspi32.exe from Adaptec. No luck. I have now tried manually loading them, deleting them and reloading from windows disc and unloading/reloading nero. Basically everything. Aspchk.exe only reports two files Wnaspi32 and apix.vxd though the others are there. I have tried aspi versions 4.60 and 4.7.1. Still nero reports winaspi.dll error. I'm at my wits end and about to format the hard drive!
I had the same problems. I downloaded some files and installed them. I have those files so i will send them to you when i come home tonight i am currently at work. Or it is better if you have mirc i can send you from there if you got mirc come in #deltalegion and ask for Anubis. What CD-ROM drive do you have?

Thanks Elio, I don't know what mirc is? The CD writer is a LiteOn 40x24x48.
