I just removed AOL from system and now every time I boot up I get a window that says AOL tray icon. How do I get rid of it for good. Thanks.

Another AOHELL fan. I'd delete anything you can find with the word AOL in it. But I don't mind if I crash my pc. BACK UP anything you want to take out. Do a search in the registry, in sysedit and in Program Files, Windows and the Windows/System folder for AOL, you'll find plenty. Be carefull because some files are linked to other programs and you might remove a crucial item, that's why you back up first.

Have you checked your startup folder yet? Go to c:\windows\start menu\programs\start up and delete the shortcut to AOL.
