whenever i dialup through the aol prog. it dials through fine shows the speed im about to connect at then boom i see the connection log appear in the background and it says "remote access service error" more commonly referred to as RAS. the funny thing though is this only happens to the first number i choose in my access num list. it doesnt happen to only that one, i have tried diff. access num's in place of that one. same error. but when the second num atemps to dial to connects through, no hassle. any detailed info on this prob would be helpful.

I have seen this problem before and really don't have any sources or solution for it.
I did, however onetime, tried to dialout using plain old DUN and got an error that clued me into what was happening.See if you can do that. If it is an authentication problem, then you should get some type of error.
If anyone else has any solutions for this, please email me.
Thanks.

there was some kind of plug-in by aol called Aol Coach that was sort of a tutorial to fixing problems. and so there was a Remote Services fix and i thought finally ill be rid of this prob. but no i downloaded the fix ,it wanted to change my display settings for whcih i will never understand what will that have any effect on fixin the prob. halfway throught the automated fix i get an error trans16plug or something. so i never get through. try it though. its at this page aol://4344:2452.fix_a6a3.26183983.705430091 best of luck to u.
