Noah,

I don't have much experience with AOL but recently my Mother-in-law deleted some files, which were needed AOL system files. I just told her to reinstall AOL. The new installation preserved all of your settings; login name-password-dialup number and just replaced the missing files.

I don't remember for sure but there may have been an option when you start the installation for repair AOL.

You may have to let AOL autodetect your modem again but that is pretty painless.

Good luck
