AOL disconnects

I'm using AOL 9.0 high speed cable with a Linksys BEFW11S4 ver.2 router. I get disconnected from time to time. Sometimes just after a few minutes on line. Sometimes thru out the day it would just keep disconnecting. Other times I stay connected all day without any problems. I checked with my cable company and they told me that everything is fine on their end. I checked with AOL and did everything they told me to do. That lives the router left. I don't know much about routers. Tried to get in touch with Linksys but no luck so far. Anyone having similar problems?

Hi Mel,
This seems to be a common problem with large servers like AOL. I don't think there's anything wrong with your router. This will also happen if you haven't been active on the net for a certain period of time. The server sees your not using the browser and times out.

It will disconnect sometimes while I'm actively online. Other times I could be away for hours or a day and I will still be connected when I get back. It's times when I get disconnected while I'm actively online line that fustrates me.
