Just updated my GeForce 3 drivers. When I boot the computer it boots fine, however when I get to what should be the windows desktop, the monitor turns off. It is an AOC ARSCM-769D. To fix this I can swap it with my viewsonic monitor which displays the desktop fine, then when I swap them back, my AOC works fine. Why won't it boot with the AOC, and what can I do to fix it. Please help. Thanks.

I take it this just happened after you updated your GeForce 3 drivers? It may have zapped your some file needed for your monitor. Try removing the monitor from the System screen and rebooting to let Windows reinstall it for you. It does seem weird, tho, that the other monitor will boot up ok and then you can switch the AOC back in. Try it and see. It can't hurt.

You might boot to safe mode and change the refresh rate of the adapter or lower the screen area. It could be that one of those is incompatible with the AOC.

Well I removed my display adapter and after much trouble got the old ones loaded again. However, my AOC monitor will still not boot with the system. I have had no luck finding drivers specific to my monitor. Thanks for the help though.

Thre are aoc drivers from microsoft on your monitor.. Do windows update or go to aoc website. Also a thought direct x 9, and maybe before you installed those gefroce drivers you should have removed the old drivers completely from your system.
