I currently have been using Norton Antivirus 2000 and Norton Internet Securities 2000. My father has a Macafee antivirus he can give me but should I install Macafee? Some people say Macafee is better and some say Norton but I'm not really sure. If Macafee is better then is it ok to use Macafee antivirus with Norton internet securities or is there a conflict problem there. Hope someone can give me some guidance here. Thanks.

I just this past week worked on a co-workers system for him. He had NAV running. We stopped it (through msconfig) and loaded AVG FREE version. Once updated, it caught four virus's and one boot sector virus. Just an opinion.......

I installed AVG on an XP machine recently and it seemed pretty good. The price is right too.
On a side note: I have been happily using McAfee for a few years (for a price) but whatever you do DO NOT use or activate in any way it's companion program called "Safe&Sound" It's worse on resourses than any spyware you could install and it is a mofo to get rid of. It makes a 2.3ghz run like a 266mhz.
