Hey i have a problem with my pc,my norton anti virus is not opening i tried installing norton antivirus 2002 but still the same problem.I tried scanning the hard drive for viruses 2 files were infected with viruses,repaired the infected files,tried re-installing Norton 2002 again but still facing the same problem Hope to have positive repsonse....????

Some KLEZ and other virus varients attack the antivirus program. Their files usually have WINK in them. Have you tried the on line scans and removal tools at Trend Micro, Macafee and Syamntec. Run a couple of them to make sure your computer is free of any virus infections. If you can remember the name of the virus, you can get specific removal tools from those sites, or WEBATTACK and CNET Downloads. All the best!

Twalib, Follow the instructions under #11 at the Norton Reinstall link below my name(Homepage:)."Follow the instructions in the document How to restore Norton AntiVirus after removing a virus to reinstall NAV." Hopefully it will solve your problem.
