Alrighty, this x-mas I recieved an iPod. Of course I wanted to try it right away but somethiung happend. I hooked it up and got the normal "searching for drivers"...etc...I've tried anapod (which I've had good reveiws about) and downloaded several special drivers that were made specifically for the iPod.....unfortunately NONE WORK...its been alomst 3 hours now and I still can't get ANYTHING to work....am I just missing something?
but I've looked into it more and there are many drivers that one could download to support the iPod on Windows 98, but for some reason they don't work on mine (and don't start calling me an idiot because I kno computers)
possibly your version of the iPod is not one of those that will work with whatever '98 drivers there are around for said item.
Incidentally... re': "...(and don't start calling me an idiot because I kno computers..."
Not withstanding a typo (they happen easily...) - a tag of "dork" does not exactly invite others to elevate or raise one's profile to a very high standard of recognition/respect...?
And even the best of us can occasionally assume/presume that because something works for other generations of a bit of kit... that it should/ought to work for our most recent specimen? And frequently this just ain't so...
