I have a Compaq Presario 4824, which has an ATI Rage Pro chipset integrated into the motherboard. Two years ago, I tried installing the All-in-Wonder Pro, but it didn't work. Compaq told me that Windows couldn't distinguish the A-i-W from my ATI Rage Pro chipset, because they both use the same chipset. I was now wondering if the same would happen with the new All-in-Wonder 128. Can Windows recognize the difference between a Rage Pro and Rage 128 chipset?

What is really needed is a way to disable the motherboard video chipset. I'm amazed that Compaq doesn't have a way to do that. Usually there is a plug on the motherboard or an option in the Bios.

The only way to disable the chipset is in Windows' Device Manager. There's nothing about the video card in the BIOS, and there's no plug at all.

Terrible situation! I have no solution. If you can't disable the onboard video I don't see any solution. But maybe someone else can help.
