AGP 4X Annihilator2

I recently built my own system and everything runs great with the exception of my Annihilator2. It's a 4X AGP card (AGP 2.0). I'm running a tyan S2380 board (AMD 750 slot A). I have the latest drivers off of creative's site for the video card. My problem is this, i am only able to run my mainboard/video card at 2X, if i run 4X my whole computer freezes like the ice age. The video, sound, modem, and such are on there own IRQ so no conflicts/sharing. Anyone out there have this problem? Please let me know.
