CPU = Central Processing Unit

Did you mean you actually have problems with your PC ?

Please can you be more concise as your post does not convey the problem!

"when i removed side find add/remove prog" I have NO idea what that means.

Proper grammar and sentence structure will go a long way. Perhaps if you rephrase in a more concise manner, as plainandsimple suggests, you would get some help.

Is Norton uptodate?

Ultimately you will probably need to reformat your hard drive and reinstall windows before you are fully free of this series of problems. In the meantime, you might be able to make windows bootable by using a backup copy of the registry.

Start in dos. At the command prompt, type "scanreg /restore" when you are presented with a list of dates, choose the second newest. This should be two days ago.

Norton is up to date,Thanks for your help ill try the scan/restore.I was told to remove side find,powerscan,internet opt,contexplus,yoursitebar,slotchbar xxxtoolbar.These programs were downloaded when 'IST SVC'Was downloaded.I was at a google site reasearching 'troganMoo',When i clicked on one of the options there ISTSVC was automaticaly downloaded ,This is a tool bar program ,im not sure what else it does.Upon further investigation I was instructed to remove the above mentioned programs that were located in windows add/remove Programs sidefind,powerscan,yoursite bar.These were the only 3 in that area and as told i removed them,after removal i could not use my pc [hp desktop win98se].For instance clicking on any desktop icon would result in'no response' when i right clicked i would get the copy/paste window but not the option to open that applaction,so i restarted and the pc at that point was looking for the orignal code that you put in,the code that comes with the software at purchase.

Sentences dude - they're important, if you hope your message to be, y'know, readable

(trogan? - - c'mon now)

Sounds like you have been massively infected, doubtless from poor surfing habits and a failure to run adware/spyware scans, etc etc.

Restoring the registry may indeed resolve things - also try a Panda Scan

You might consider switching to the FireFox browser as well (or Opera)

Resist the temptation to close your request for help with semantically-null questions like “Can anyone help me?”
