Hi, I'm about to buy a new video card to replace my old one but don't know wich one to buy.
I've thought to buy a Geforce 2 but I'm not sure. What should I buy?

I bought Flightsim 98 a few years back and the cheapy Trident 9750 video card I had installed worked just fine. I then bought the Flightsim 2000 and it wouldnt do the job at all. I then bought the GEForce 2 MMX 400 64 MB. I bought it at Staples and I made sure that they knew what I had for a computer and why I wanted a new video card. They guaranteed me that this card would do the job. Wish I had my money back. I don't like the color I have on everything now. (I call it "harsh") Anyway, I can run Flightsim 2000 now but its still not enough. Frames per second are around 8 to 10 with any degree of background showing which makes the planes fly in a jerking motion and 11 to 18 while flying over the ocean or anything with very little background. The plane fly's quite smoothly at this frame rate. I have an AMD K6-2, 500 Mhz, 160 RAM. If I had to do it over again I wouldn't buy it. If you live for games I would definately look for something better. Of course this is just my opinion. Good luck anyway.

It depends, why u need a new graphic card for?..games? then u might want a geforce 3, but its expensive, but if u got the spare money, id recommend to get it, if u need a O.K card, that i have myself and is cheap, get a Geforce 2 MX. ofcourse, there is tons of cards out there, and this is just two of them...well, if u need more help, email me or something, good luck! :)

My preference is one of the ATI models, but that's me. If you're dealing with an older computer, an ATI XPERT 128 will do fine.

Have had a geforce2 mx200 64mb in my machine (PIII 750, 384mb ram) for two days, and it works just great! Screen refreshes are very fast and the color is outta sight!
To Harold in Response #1: Did you play w/the agp aperture size in your bios? Mine was set @ 64 and all I got was a black screen, kept lowering it til I got to 16 and viola! Alls well now! :-)
