Adobe Photoshop v5.0 conflicts with scanner.

After installing Adobe Photoshop v5 every time I acquire using my scanner the program locks up. I can prescan but as soon as I go to scan Photoshop freezes up and it won't do the scan job. I would appreciate any I/P to the problem. I am currently using a Ulead prog to scan with no prob's.......

Have you reinstalled your scanner? I have PhotoDeluxe 2.0 and when I had to reinstall PhotoDeluxe, I also had to reinstall my scanner since I had close to the same problem as you.

Baron- I hope this helps; however it may be "off base". I just got a new puter (Win98 from a Win95). I had the software installed, butt couldn't get the scanner to do anything more than "TEST"
I called them, and they told me to look for "IMAGING" in Start Menu (I'd NEVER done it that way). It worked. Good Luck to you.

Make sure you have gone through the "SELECT TWAIN SOURCE" before your first scan!
