I can't open any games that I download. I receive a message not a supported file type or file has been corrupted(for example sent as an Email att. and not correctly decoded.

your problem is probably that acrobat isn't a game program.

If you have received an email that contains the .att attachment then whom ever has sent you the email just needs to change the format of the email from Rich Text (HTML) to plain text.

There is also something about hotmail attachments that I too am unable to receive attachments from those accounts sometimes and I do not know why but they do not show up as a normal attachment.

If your problem is downloading from the internet then that is another problem.
