Add a slave drive

Comment:
I've been given a used hard drive which I will hopefully be installing as a slave drive in my computer. The problem is I was not given any software with it. Is this software necessary or will the computer recognize the drive automatically.

The system (windows?) should find the drive by itself. (Except if it is a SCSI drive and you don't have a SCSI controler card, but in this case u should not be able to plug it...)

you should also have to ste the jumpers on the secondary drive to slave. If you don't have the manual for the drive then look up the manufacturer and go to their website, and you should find the right way to set them up.
