Info:
1) Adaptec CD Copier V3.5c (263) on Win98SE
2) Adaptec CD Creator V3.5c (05/04/99) on Win98SE
3) Temp directory > 4Gb free
4) Sony writable CDs are OK with the first half of the box usedThe burner and software have been working for two years. Since yesterday, no matter I used the Easy Creator or CD Copier, the burn would fail with similar messages as follows ...
T0100: I/O error (06/C5/00) - Write error - buffer underrun occurred
T0100: I/O error (03/0C/00) - Write error
T7127: TrackWriter error - Flush failed
T7118: TrackWriter error - Command retry failedI already WASTED eight Sony CDs ... and really exhausted with what's happening ... I even reinstalled the software more than twice, and also tried burning with temp or without temp directory ... still no success.
Any answer/comment is much appreciated !!!
Thanks.

You might try halting any programs which are running in the background. Press [Ctrl]+[Alt]+[Del] to bring up a window showing what programs are running. For each program you wish to halt, highlight the program name then click on [End Task]. Explorer and Systray are the only programs that you must allow to keep running. Then start Easy CD Creator and perform a "test only" write process to see if this works.
Another thought is to defrag your hard disk.

WHAT are u trying to copy?
try burning standard downloaded mp3s or freeware try copying cd to cd of a disk you have allready burned..
if your trying to copy shop bought games and now days alot of new audio albums thay are write protected!!
even tho by law you are allowed to back up any origanal cd u own (coz kids tend to use them as frizzbies n stuff lol )give cd-rw lens a clean!
also unplug cdrw boot up shut down and reinstall it see if it helps..
and use a re-writeable disk to save on single write cds while your trying to fix this problem...hope this is of some help.. ;)

Have you considered a bad cd writer since it worked up until yesterday. That is if you haven't changed anything.

Edwin,
Yesterday I had the same thing happen. I tried a number of things including uninstalling the adaptec software and reinstalling it. I checked cables, rebooted several times.etc. I had burned a few CD's during the day without any problems. This morning the CDRW burned two of the 16 songs before the error messages but I too am frustrated about wasting CD's. I went to HP's website and downloaded a patch and upgrade to adaptec 3.5. Hope this helps. If anybody has any other suggestions I would appreciate it.
Thanks
Linda
