I have a GenuineIntel x86 Family 6 Model 8 Stepping 10 computer w/120MB of Ram. I run Window 98 SE, Direct X 8, IE 5.5 (although I'm AOL, for now), AVG AntiVirus, ZoneAlarm and I'm an Aquarius
I have Adaptec Easy CD Creator 4. When I first installed it, it ran perfectly. Now lately, it's been having different problems running as it should. At first, it was claiming that my ODBC resource dll was different than the ODBC setup dll (whatever the heck that means) and I troubleshot that by replacing those files from my copy of Windows 98 SE. It worked fine after that.
Now, when I try to use the CD Copier feature of the program, I get an illegal operation notice and "DrWatson" tells me, "Remote Procedure Call DLL (RPCRT4.DLL) attempted to read from memory that does not exist. It may be using an uninitialized variable, or it may be attempting to access memory after having freed it".
I have no idea what that means. I tried to look for that dll in my Windows CD and no luck this time. I also tried re-installing Easy CD in hopes that I'd get lucky (nope). Please help.

Have you tried copying to hard rive first? Meaning checking the "copy to hard drive first?" box when you open up CD Copier. When I copy CD's I always use this option. If I don't, I end up with coasters 50% of the time.Hope this helps. Hope I'm not way off.

Hey Ruben,
Thanks for the idea, I'm sure that will work and I,m definitely gonna do that as a new standard, however, when I click on CD Copier (only, direct CD and audio burn work fine), it shutsdown with an illegal operation warning. While your idea solves, at least, my backup needs, I miss the comfort of putting a data CD and a CD-RW in the drives, then jam my horn while it copys it all by it's lonesome.
Your a rad cat anyway, bro. Thanx
