Logically one does this operation - very carefully... A search in google.com (perhaps using the string/term): Acer laptop hard-drive removal will bring up a range of links; one being: http://www.accessmicro.com/products/peripheral/laptophd/index.phtml which has a section on 'how to'... lower down the page. It may also be worth a visit to your 'local library' (Barnes & Noble, Borders etc. or even the 'real local library'?) to see what they have in the way of Upgrading PCs manuals? A browse might be of value???
