Acdsee problem

CPU/Ram: PIII800/64MB

My Acdsee5.0 is unable to load thumbnails and it just stuck when i start it. I have to use CTRL+ALT+DEL to end IDBSVR.exe to enable thumbnails, but it doesnt solve my problem. I can only view the files in the folder which i start from. and i have to use CTRL+ALT+DEL to close acdsee. What ahall i do? please help,T_T thanks

you may have to uninstall and reinstall ACDSee. Sounds like the drivers got corrupted

i've tried to uninstall and reinstall it for several times, but it doesnt help, i still get the same problem.

Have you tried another program (ex. IrfanView)?

Acdsee is a horrible program in that it creates irregular image file associations in the registry that can't possibly work right. IrfanView is the only program in my experience that can correct these 'not right' Acdsee image file associations.

Yea, i've tried Irfan View,it works perfectly with the thumbnails. but its features and functions r just not powerful enuff to me, im accustomed to browsing,editing and converting my designs using acdsee. so if someone has any solution for my problem, i will be really thankful.......

when you uninstall it, clear the registry keys before reinstalling. in particular, hkey local machine/software/Acdsee*.*

Deleting the registry keys doesnt help either. The problem still exists.iz really frustrating T_T. any other solutions? thx for all replies
