Does any one know of any record limitations in Access 97? I heard that there was a 16000 record limitation, but is that true? Thanks
You may know more than I about the subject, but if I understand your question correctly, it is not a restriction on the number of records, but on space. Access 97 is limited to 1 GB, which is quite a lot of information. I don't remember there being a limitation on the number of records. Hope this was helpful.
Open Access and go to help and search for specifications. You will find all the Access limitations there.

To my knowledge, Access97 is effectively limited to a Gigabytes of datas but Queries with Transactions are limited up to 195 000 records affected. So if yu use Transactions, be sure to be under this limit !

Just now i tried & i was able to populate 3,50,000 records of 150 char record size. After that size of the database was around 50 MB. I tried to run a query as well for 3,00,000 records & it works prefectly. It takes around 90 seconds to perform.
