Ok I know this isnt really much of an OS question but thought I'd give it a try and hope someone might be of some help. I installed quicktime a while back (older version since the new is made for xp.. bleh) and now for some reason it wont play quicktime mov's. it gives me the "This program has performed and illegal operation and will shutdown" and when I check the details I find the fault is quicktime.qts file. Has anyone else had this problem? I tried uninstalling and reinstalling but alas that didnt work either.. So any ideas guys?

Personally, I won't install Quicktime on any systems. You might want to checkout Quicktime Alternative:
