A search of all of Microsoft.com has not turned up the error you specified. Are you sure of the exact info presented on the screen? (ie; Could what you think to be a 1 (number 1) be an "L" in lower case?

It's a good day when you learn something

These can be a bit of a pain and can be caused for a variety of reasons. You can Google for "A FATAL exception OE has occurred" which gets a few hits.

Are familiar with peering inside the box? If so I would check out the RAM. If you can try with one stick at a time in first position this might point to one stick failing.

Sometimes tarnish on the edge connectors can cause RAM problems. It can usually be removed by using a clean pencil eraser. I would also remove and re-insert the sticks a few times too, as this cleans the sockets. You will need more info if you have never been involved with this.

It is not the only reason but in your case, as that's as far as you get when booting, RAM trouble seems most likely to me.
