Did you ever figure this out? My sister-in-law is getting the same message and I have no idea what it is. Would appreciate an email if you get the chance. Thanks!

after my most recent reformat of many I am getting the same message and looking for the same dll file. I am using the power ferret and it came up with a lot of good possible archives. look with the web ferret and you will see what I mean. that is how I found your web site. It is fast and easy. I will let you know if I find it. It is all Greek to me!

Simpley go into REGEDIT, do a search (f3) for "3in1.dll and then delete the link. it will fix it self w/o any problems.

Is this a PackardBell thing? or just W98?
After just completely restoring my PC with recovery disc, and then laying down W98 2E Update for W98 original code, this dll error pops up. I called MS and they have no real idea or reliable fix advice, other than to do as Haley suggests...delete the reference from the Registry..after doing an Export for backup.

Has the Registry edit process worked reliably? Any subsequent problems at boot, shutdown or running applications?
What is this dll anyway?
Thanks
