I have a win 98 128MB 733MHz comp, with onboard intel 810e graphics. I used to eb able to run most 3D games fine (including NBA, FIFA 2001, Kyodai, American McGee's Alice).
Now I have noticed that any time I try one of the 3-d games the comp completely locks up after about 5-10 minutes play. It is totally unresponsive and I have to switch it off at the wall socket. This never happened before.
I have tried updating the graphics driver and upgraded to DirectX 8.0a, to no avail.
I suspect the problem may have started when I installed a game called London Racer by Davilex a while back. Uninstalling the game did not fix the problem, though, and the we-site doesn't mention this problem.
Please help me........

Could be a heat related problem with the CPU
or video card. Check your fans, might have
to add more cooling.

cooling? rubbish!!! motherboard would go beep-beep ages b4 it goes.
In properties of desktop, go to properties, then, in the video card section, goto advanced. Click tab named adapter, and try switching your refresh rate from optimal to default adapter or default card/screen. Run a Direct3D test in accesories-system tools-system info-direct x tools. If da little cube spins aruond right baby roundround, alls ok.
Good luck.
