Having a problem getting the drivers installed for this pccard under win98. Downloaded the drivers from 3com's site, and it all begins fine, but then it asks for files that are not on any of the disks available. un3c556.exe is the first one it hangs on. Any ideas?
Heh, yes, I'm not that blonde. :) I handed it off to the hardware guy and he got it to work but won't tell me the secret. So I still don't know what the prob was, but at least it's solved.
I've got same kind of problem... I try installing Win 98 on the Toshiba Satellite 4000CDS and it recognizes the 3com 3ccem556b but doesn't want to install the driver I've downloaded from 3com website. There is still a yellow question mark in front of the card. Windows doesn't recognize the .inf on the installation disk of the PMCIA card...
Please help!

The self-extracting LHA file is fubar. You will need to use WinZip and point it to a downloaded version of lha.exe (I got mine here: http://www.simtel.net/pub/dl/39969.html). This way you can expand all files without corruption. Be sure to put lha.exe close to the root as it's a DOS app. that doesn't like long weird path names. Good Luck.
