Comment:
each harddisk works fine on it's own, but when i put them together the system crashes and when i restart it it doesn,t see a primairy harddisk. my primairy is 8 GB(Fujitsu) and my slave is 10 GB(IBM).i do not think there is a virus!it must be something else......how or where can i see if two harddisks are compatible?
P.S. did you guys know that fdisk doesn't see 10 GB. i had to get a special program at IBM to partitionize my harddisk.

Can your system support 2 drives with higher capacity? Some motherboards won't support. We don't even know what kind of system is this.

Telesom is right, you need to give more information. Meanwhile, some HD's don't like to "play" together, so like our children....sometimes you must separate them. Why not make each one the master on ite own cable and then make your cd and/or other items the slaves. This works very well sometimes.
