Is it possible to hook a USB printer to a USB hub along with 2 PC's and have both PC's use the printer. The PC's are all ready running on a TC/IP network but aperantly you cant share a USB device the same as LPT over TC/IP..I am running Win98se . If anyone has a setup for this I would be most thankfull.

Have you tried sending a printable file to a shared folder on the machine with printer plugged in? Then look in the mapped drive for the folder, select the file and then hit the print command ? Of course you'll have to have a full share on the folder to enable that. Maybe even renote admin as well, to use the printer function that way. I'm no expert on networking, but the logic seems right to try.

I have the coputers networked. I have shared LPT printers on this network. But 1 of the PC'S is my girlfreinds and I dont want her to have to do a buch crap to print. I am well aware of file and printer shareing. But aparently you cant tunnel into a USB root hub from a TC/IP network. So my qwestion is this.. to keep it simple I would like to Just go buy a USB hub and plug the printer into it along with the other PC's on the network and install the printer to each PC as if they were the owner of the printer. I dont want to run a USB netowrk. Will this work (befor I buy a USB hub)
