i have pentuim III 450 with asus mother board and one cd rom . i've installed a acer cd-rew cd rom on my computer and when i log in my netware(client32) network i have by default from my server network drives from F to Z and when i go in to my computer i don't find my two cd-roms ,i've tried to reinstall win95 and nothing has changed but when i go to system properties i see on my 1 and 2 ide controller(single info) a exclamation mark what to do next??? also when i log in my ms client only i don't see my cd-roms too suggestions????

Do a search in the Registry for "NoIDE" >no quotes< and see if it turns up an entry. If so then change the value from 1 to 0 (that'd be a zero). Then reboot.
You could also try going in Safe Mode and deleting any ghost entries from device Mangler.
I got exactly the same problem, the same day. I've done a lot of investigation, spent hours on support lines, tried all sorts of things. For me, the IDE controller will simply not accept the Sony CDRW. Summary: remove the ide controller and reboot your machine. That will install the driver again and then try installing over the top if that doesn't fix your problem ...
