I made an error in judgement by putting my OS
win98 on a small partition and only have 50 MB left. I didn't think it was going to be a problem because i thought i could just put new stuff on other drives. I didn't think of the temporary internet files or the desktop and other dynamic files the OS uses. Is there a way to make all those files use another drive? When I tried to copy a file that windows uses it said I couldn't do it. I have too much stuff configured so I don't want to reformat and repartition. What can I do if anything?

There is a program called Drive Copy that is sold in most computer stores such as Comp USA and others. It will allow you to copy a partition to another or a hard drive to another too. It only cost about $20.00. I think you could even just redo win98 setup and tell it to use another drive letter, but I'm not sure on that. I can't remember, it's been a while since I've done setup.

Alot the folders windows uses can be altered
by changing certain setting in the registry
you can do this manualy however if you get
win95 powertoys ,and install tweakui you can change ,desktop, sendto, document templates, favorites, documents, startmenu, startup. If you feel comfortable editing the registry this is the key
[HKEY_USERS\.Default\Software\Microsoft\Windows\CurrentVersion\Explorer\Shell Folders]
before editing you should backup you registry

Steve,
Your best bet would be to use Partition Magic, by the same company that makes drive copy. It can change partition sizes without disturbing data. Just shrink your secondary partition, and enlarge your primary partition. Try it, you'll like it. Al
