AOL COACH

I've been continuing my research into my AOL 7.0 browser (using IE 6.0 -- note this combination worked for months without difficulties until the entire AOL browser crapped out) not working and recently made some observations. I now have a program in my Add/Remove Control Panel option that I'm not familiar with. This entry was added around the time I began having the AOL browser problem and/or when attempting to repair it (reinstalling AOL off a new CD and/or upgrading to the newest AOL 7.0 version via download) or some rogue program that was installed inserted this program that I was not aware of.

The program is listed in Add/Remove as AOL Coach Version 1.0 (Build 20011028.1) and is installed in Program/Common Files/Aolshare. A check on the physical executable withing this folder indicates in detail as AdpBrowser by MFC Corporation v1.0.0.1. Nowhere withing its properties and version information is any reference made to the AOL company.

Does anyone know what this is? There are no shortcut entries to launch this program so I'm guessing its being called and launched by another program, if at all. I've not run it or removed it for fear of making thigs worse. Any thoughts?

It's simply an email tutorial for AOL newbies. Remove it and forget about it. You certainly don't need it unless you have no idea on how to send and recieve email.
