windows 8 how to access dell recovery partition

Specs: Windows 7

i loaded windows 8 consumer preview on a third partition i created, the other two partitions were a dell recovery partition and windows 7 that came on the machine which is a 64 bit system. somehow, when loading windows 8, i lost all the boot and start up capabilities and could no longer access windows 7. the process worked fine on my 32 bit system (both had appropriate windows downloads). the system i am having problems with is a laptop with no cd/dvd drive. i can see the partition but have no way to start it so i can recover the factory image. i downloaded the dell recovery software but i did not work. any suggestions would be appreciated

No way to tell what you did on the install. If you can't recover it normally then you have to get media, either created by you before this attempt or by contacting Dell for replacement media.

Hang up and live.

On my older Dell you press Ctrl + F11 while the Dell Logo is on the screen.

You've been helped by a 14 year old.
