Solved Where do I find the AppData file in WIndows 8?

March 31, 2012 at 10:10:16
Specs: Windows 64, 2.668 GHz / 4051 MB

I am trying to install a software upgrade and keep getting an error message because it can not find the AppData file. When I search the c:\Users\Glenn\ folder, there is no AppData file to be found?

Any idea where I can find it so I can do the software upgrade?

Thanks.

I've tried to answer this 3 times now... Forum problems I think. Anyway, that folder is hidden. You'll have to enable viewing of hidden files and folders.

✔ Best Answer

To view hidden files/folders, hit "windows key + R" and type "explorer"
Then click on the view tab and put a checkmark next to the hidden option. I can confirm this is where the folder is located. I just did it and am running the Win8 consumer preview.
