I have w8 on new notebook. I'm looking for free/share ware to open old .lwp files on MS office pro word 2007. I've tried kvlot32 with no success. it's apparently not supported by W8.

I've tried Open Office but was not successful, I may need a plug-in for the OOffice. I thought OO bought Libre and were the same? I'll check thanks. I may have to try and open the file in an old computer with the Windows ME, or the "mistake edition" as I call it. I just hate every time new versions make other things obsolete. My computer only came with the W8, and it's a pain in the ASUS. I may have to call these new issues, " W8 my ASUS"!!
Was Kvlotus.exe no good either - see my #12? If you can open them in 9x or ME then you could copy & paste the text into Word and save them again as doc files. I accept that if there are a lot of them and/or they have pictures it could be a bit convoluted.
