I Can’t Install New Programs On My Computer

I am unable to install new programs on my computer! The program seems to download without difficulty but when I hit “Run” to complete the installation, Notepad was opening. Now I get a message saying that the computer doesn’t recognize that extension! I have no idea how to fix this problem.

    1. The msi file extension is a Windows Installer file (nothing to do with Media Player).

      Go here, scroll down to the msi fix and download it to a folder:

      Next go to the above file (named “Default_MSI.reg”) file and double click it. OK all prompts and your msi file association issue should be fixed – if not restart computer and see if that now fixes the issue.
