I have look at the Lenovo and Toshiba, but not satisfied with them. Is that any suggestions? under $1000.
Acer
Packard Bell
SonyThey are the only laptop brands I would buy. Do not even consider buying an HP or Compaq one as they have a reputation for poor quality and poor reliability.
I would avoid Packard Bell (easy enough as they aren't available in the US) as they are a DSG group own-brand & their reliability has always been suspect. HP & Compaq are the same company - hence why most laptops are branded HP these days, and as they are still one of the biggest laptop manufacturers their kit is up to the standard of other makes, and they still come high on reviews. http://www.laptopmag.com/mobile-lif...

Personally speaking I can recommend Acer laptops as my two workhorse ones (a desktop substitute and an ultrabook) are both Acer and have so far lasted 3 years of daily use, the latter bouncing around in a bag all day.
Dell still make very good quality kit, and finally Asus, if you can get a reasonably specified one, are also a good bet.
