Specs: windows 8

Every time I do the one key systems restore, it all my pictures and other documents. I would like to know how to avoid this. I have even tried systems restore to another date but it never completes because my antivirus is still running. How do I temporally shut down BitDefender?

Why are you constantly doing restores? Get rid of Bit Defender & just enable Windows Defender instead. It's built into Win8 however most computer manufacturers (Dell, HP, Lenovo, etc) disable it & load some crappy trial security software (McAfee, Norton, etc) because they get a kickback.

"all my pictures and other documents. I would like to know how to avoid this"

Is there a bit missing - what happens to your pictures?

If (my guess) they are going missing, then restore should not be touching them.
Are you putting your pictures in the proper folder as per Win 8 default?

Always pop back and let us know the outcome - thanks
