When I shutdown windows via the standard windows 8 options, it hangs. sitting there with power on saying "shutting down" and it never ends. Any ideas on what is going on?

I too have looked at this link before and it seems to make a lot of sense, even though I have been procrastinating to DO IT! Now that the written message is appearing on my screen "Windows will restart computer in 1 day for updates" I really SHOULD get on it. Thanx again, and actually I have already added this website to my favorit bar.
