ok well this is fun. recently i started getting the "your copy of windows will expire in 0 hours" messages (supposed to be next year right?) but i ignored them. i told system (twice) to run chkdsk C: soo... it runs chkdsk C: at startup... twice. first one went ok, although it froze a couple times before it worked. it still wants to do the second one every time i boot up. then on top of that, one i cancel the check, it wont load the logon screen. nothing. nada. the mouse is there and movable, but nothing else works. after a while the screen still enters low power, and when i move the mouse it still comes back up, still blank. any thoughts? lol finally a bug in windows 7, it just couldnt be perfect ;P

Right if it is Windows 7 RC. Wrong if it is Windows 7 Beta. The Windows 7 beta will begin bi-hourly shutdowns on July 1, 2009 and will expire on August 1, 2009.

i believe the RC will start shutdowns from march 2010, which in reality is as good as expiring...may as well pre-order your copy of win 7 now.and load RC untill then, just do an update if you do indeed still have the beta copy.
