Specs: Windows 7

I have lost the wireless notification from the notification area. it has been replaced with the icon for the hard wired internet connection. It happened when I updated the driver from the toshiba site. I have internet acess though wireless but no icon giving me strenght of signal etc..The icon is not in the custonise area nor does system restore work either. Itried roll back driver and update driver in the device manager but does not work, any ideas?

have you tried a system resote, it would set the drivers back to
the origional state at that time if you did, since drivers are
considered a risk and system change.

also the driver you downloaded would have made an automatic
restore point in most cases.

Hi, happened here aswell ,it wa the new realtek driver that did it ,it seemed to put a yellow star on the bars to say it was connected, then it disapeared ,and put the hard wire icon there instead, did a restore and all was fine except connection time was slow, so i instaled the new driver again, much quicker connection ,got the yellow star, installed log me in soft ware and i am back to the hardwire icon,go figure!!
still have full connection.

tech guy fella havin a look at my java later, i will ask him about this issiue and if i get a soulution i will post
