Comment:

The folders pane is missing and now replaced with one that even though has the folder tree just acts all wrong.

1. I don't need recent places/shortcuts gobbling up my precious screen real estate but even if I did it should be optional.
2. If I choose a folder from the folder tree and later a link from the shortcuts/recent places part of the pane, the folder tree is not updated to reflect the new folder???

Is there an explorer replacement for 7 that has the look and feel of 7 minus that annoying pane yet(I know it's too early for anything like this)? Or better yet some undisclosed registry hack to bring back my beloved folder tree only pane?

Truth can become lie, but if lies become truth we're in trouble.
