How can I upgrade my Windows XP Pro SP3 32bit to Windows 7 Business x64bit? Can I do a straight upgrade or do I need to do a clean wipe?

clean wipe....you can never upgrade to a 64bit version from 32bit. You're indicating changing hardware at that point. The x64 is only compatible with a 64-bit processor/hardware.

I see then my manager must have only a 64bit box (sorry, talking to myself) because he was able to clean wipe his machine with a Windows 7 64bit but was telling me his computer was 32bit related? That possible, figure unlikely?
