For reason all of a sudden my thumbnail view is gone and it only shows the file type instead of a small image of the picture. I am not sure what happened
Go into the folder where you pictures are, right click and go to View. Then you can select Extra Large Icons, Large Icons, Medium Icons or Small Icons depending on what size thumbnail your want.
I know how to do this, but the problem is there are no pictures to view, it just shows the icon for the file as in paint etc. It use to bring me up a small photo of what I was previewing.
Have you changed to a different viewer by any chance? Always pop back and let us know the outcome - thanks
what do you mean by a different viewer? I did change to paint, to others etc and no matter what it will not give me back the regular small photo icon that would let me preview what I was going to see. I am not extremely computer literate so bear with me. Thanks

No I have not changed my viewing program. I can't think of any changes that were done recently that would have caused this.
