i have already install win xp and now i try to intall windows 7 on it.
installation goes fine without any problem . after entering user name and other details.msg came 7loader installed it restart onece done. something like that.
and after that my system get restarted. option for booting windows 7 is not came.
that was coming in between of installation . i dont what is going wrong with it.
please help me

You can NOT upgrade inplace to Windows 7 from XP.
To install Windows 7 on an XP partition you need to custom install and wipe the XP instalation. That means you loose all data on that partition, so backup first.
Otherwise use another drive or partition.

Thnaks for the reply. But i am not upgrade . It was just a fresh install on other partition. Problem is that after installation of windows 7, boot loader get disappear. only winxp bootloader is dispalyed.
anyway i resolved my problem using EasyBCD 1.7 .
now its working fine

this might be the Windows 7 defect. Bcoz same Windwows 7 setup works fine in HP laptop, but failed in my Dell Laptop.
