Win 7 factory restore aborted by power cut

Specs: Windows 7

hi all i had to do a factory setting restore on my acer laptop(windows 7) when we lost the power supply(power cut) half way through the restore now when i turn on the laptop i get message saying inaccessable insert disk touble is i dont have any disks, any help would be gratefully recieved many thanks

The restore process isn't completed. U have to start the whole process.

This is a laptop. Did it not have its battery in place ? A laptop battery acts as a UPS in case of power loss. Before you have begun such a critical task, the battery should have been put in the laptop and fully charged.

You should also have created Recovery Disks when you bought the laptop.

Now, most probably the partition information may have been damaged due to power loss on the hard disk such that you cannot re-initiate the factory install. Try re-initiating the factory restore and see.

If you are not successful, I suggest you should contact Acer for help and for obtaining Recovery Disks with the documentation proving that the laptop belongs to you.

thank you for your reply the battery was fully charged and the power cut lasted for several hours but all is ok now i contacted acer and they are suppling me with the correct disks kind regards
