How do I find what the ‘username’ is in workgroup? I am trying to set up an SMB share and the process askes for ‘username’ and password. I have found the windows 7 workgroup password but have no clue how to find the ‘username’ can any one help?

1. Hold down the Ctrl and Alt keys on your keyboard and press the Delete key once.
You can also search for “Task Manager” in the Start menu.
2. Click on “Task Manager.”
3. You may have to click the arrow near “More details”
4. In the new menu, select the “Users” tab. Your username will be listed there.
Click Start and right-click Network under your user photo.
Next, choose Properties > Choose homegroup and sharing options in the lower list. Next, select Change advanced sharing settings….
Under Password protected sharing, select Turn off password protected sharing.
