For those that still prefer the Windows classic taskbar over Windows 7 new taskbar, then with a few easy steps you can turn Windows 7 taskbar back to the Windows classic taskbar. Here is how.
Step 1Enable Quick Launch, by following these steps provided by this link below
http://www.sevenforums.com/tutorial...
Step 2Right click anywhere on an empty space on Windows 7 taskbar and choose properties. Under "Taskbar appearance" and check "Use small icons". Now go down next to "Taskbar buttons:" and either choose from within the drop-down menu "Combine when taskbar is full" or "Never combine". Hit apply and ok. All of your taskbar buttons should now look like the classic windows buttons.
Step 3If you are using a messenger client and want the messenger client's icon to appear in the notification area instead of on the taskbar, then simply right click on the messenger client’s icon, choose properties and click on the "compatibility" tab. Now check "Run this program in compatibly mode for" and choose Windows Vista. Hit apply and ok. Now the next time you open up your messenger client the icon should be on the notification area instead.
If all goes well the classic taskbar should look something like this.http://img.photobucket.com/albums/v...
Iron Sharpens Iron.
