trouble loading software program

February 21, 2011 at 18:59:23
Specs: Windows Vista
trying to load a software program and it hangs up. In windows task manager it says it's an AppHangB1 problem. I'm not tech saavy but is there a way to "fix" this error? Took the CD to work to try on another computer and it started without any problems.

Are you using Vista or Windows 7? You posted in the Windows 7 forum. If the software is older stuff, then the solutions are different.

I really don't understand why the software in question has not been listed. Almost like saying this brand of gas is bad....HUH? Which brand???

And your system specs would also be helpful. Comparing apples and oranges when you state the program installs OK elsewhere. Of course it was meant to run on some platforms using some operating systems. Doesn't mean it is meant to run on yours.

Sorry - loading H&R Block tax program to windows vista. I double checked and I have enough memory. As for the other "specs" don't know what else to include as again, not a computer person. Anyway, thanks for your responses, will continue to try and trouble shoot.

The other specs would be the brand and model of your computer. Are you sure the version of H&R Block software is compatible with Vista?

Why did you post in the Windows 7 forum then? I am asking for a reason.

Rookie error in relation to this site. As a non-computer person this is the first time I have used such a site. Sorry I posted on Windows 7. I have closed this issue.

No problem, I am a moderator here and I wonder why those types of errors happen. Perhaps the home screen needs to be tweaked a bit.

In truth, it can be tricky to make sure you are posting to the correct venue.

You have to be a little bit crazy to keep you from going insane.
