Solved Title of post doesn't change to red after being red

January 17, 2013 at 12:45:08
Specs: Win7, AMD 2.90 ghz, gb mem 32 bit
When I read a message it used to turn red so that the next time I come on to read more messages, I know which ones I have already read.

This also happens on other boards that I read. Like Investor's Hub for instance.

I must admit that I have been using a software that I purchased called ErrorEnd.

But I have done a System Restore also, did not change it back apparently

Great news, I would run AdwCleaner just to be sure your all clean.
Download AdwCleaner from this link:
http://www.bleepingcomputer.com/dow...
AdwCleaner Usage Instructions:
Using AdwCleaner is very simple. Simply download the program and run it. You will then be presented with a screen that contains a Search and Delete button. The Search button will cause AdwCleaner to search your computer for unwanted programs and then display a log showing the various files, folders, and registry entries used by these programs.
To delete these unwanted programs simply click on the Delete button, which will cause AdwCleaner to reboot your computer and remove the files and registry entries associated with the various adware that you are removing. On reboot, AdwCleaner will display a log showing the files, folders, and registry entries that were removed.

ErrorEnd is scamware, and it is recommended you remove it from your pc. The bad news is they will not refund your money :(

What I think your seeing when posts turn red is your web browser showing a followed link on the name. The reason it doesn't go red might be because you (or ErrorEnd) cleared you cookies or changed cookie settings.

If your links do not change color immediately, it is because
you visited them in a different window and didn't refresh the
page with the links yet.

If your links change color for a while and then change back,
it is because your browsing history is being cleared.

If your links never change color, it is either because you have
a security setting to not save history at all, or because your
chosen link colors are overriding the normal colors.

Well, it is fixed now. I removed the ErrorEnd and did a restore to the day before I installed it. Didn't seem to fix it. But I just did a Defrag which took quite a while and rebooted and it seems to be ok now.

Thanks to all that responded . . .
